Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using FLAPS (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

By using FLAPS you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

FLAPS offers Free, Pro ($4.99/month), and Max ($9.99/month) plans.

• Billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed by Stripe (web), Apple App Store (iOS), or Google Play (Android) depending on your platform.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued.
• Top-up packs. Additional conversation packs (100 conversations, $1.99) are non-refundable once purchased.
• Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices.
• Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract AI model outputs at scale.
• Submit content that is abusive, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls.
• Impersonate any person or entity.

6. Intellectual Property

The FLAPS name, logo, and all Service content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of any content you submit, but grant us a worldwide licence to use it to operate and improve the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses large language models to generate language-learning content. AI output may contain errors. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content for any particular purpose. You should not rely solely on FLAPS for professional language certification or assessment.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FLAPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $10 USD.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except where required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Korea, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
