Wavisavi Studio ("we", "our", or "us") operates FLAPS, a language-learning application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service. Please read it carefully. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Account data — name, email address, and profile picture provided when you register or sign in via Google / Apple.
• Usage data — chat messages, learning history, language preferences, and interaction logs generated while using the Service.
• Device & log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and crash reports collected automatically.
• Payment data — subscription status and transaction identifiers. Full card details are processed by Stripe / Apple / Google and are never stored on our servers.
• Push notification tokens — device tokens used solely to deliver daily practice reminders, if you grant permission.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Personalise learning content and difficulty levels.
• Process subscription payments and prevent fraud.
• Send transactional emails and, if opted in, push notifications.
• Monitor stability, diagnose bugs, and analyse aggregate usage trends.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers — Neon (database), Vercel (hosting & analytics), Google Gemini (AI inference), Stripe/Apple/Google (payments), Resend (transactional email), and Sentry (error monitoring). Each processes data only as necessary to provide its service.
• Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and chat data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account, which permanently removes all personal data within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use session cookies for authentication and Vercel Analytics for aggregate, anonymised traffic measurement. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — are in place for transfers outside the EEA or other jurisdictions with data-transfer restrictions.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Port your data to another service.
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is consent-based).

We implement industry-standard measures — TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before the change takes effect.
